Paris in a Day

Bonjour! After a 12 hour train ride, we finally arrived in Paris from Florence. The only thing on my mind was visiting Fauchon and steak frites!  We stayed at the cozy Golden Tulip Opera De Noailles Hotel.  Not only is the hotel in a great location, but the breakfast was delicious. Before we did anything, we stopped at Boulangerie Pâtisserie du Grand Richelieu which is believed to be the oldest bakery in Paris dating back to 1810.

After stocking up on pastry, we took a short walk to Fauchon!!!! Because the products they ship to the US are limited, I was super excited to visit in person. The only problem, my suitcase wasn’t big enough to bring back everything I wanted!

Salted Caramel Eclair

I forget the exact flavors but I think it was bourbon vanilla with caramel filling and hazelenut

I also picked up a box of mini caramel madeleines, truffle mustard, fleur de sel, honey, and some chocolates. After our shopping, it was time for lunch. We decided on a small cafe near our hotel.

After riding around on the double decker bus for a few hours, it was time for dinner. We went with a recommendation from our hotel, Le Vaudeville Brasserie.

And just like that it was over. Next and last stop, London.
