Hi Everyone!!! I know it’s been a while. I’m finally back in the States and have just launched a new site Confessions of a Wine Snob. If you have a moment hop on over and take a peek. I plan to feature wine tasting notes, pairings, cocktails, and of course recipes. My first post includes a recipe for the popular frozen rosé or frosé. Thank you for your support of Pretty Girls Cook! xoxo Candice Advertisements
A few weeks ago I visited the Rhone Valley for a few tours and tastings. The weather was absolutely perfect which made the trip even more amazing. We began our trip in Cote-Rotie and worked our way south. We visited a range of wineries in size and had the chance to meet with some of the wine makers adding a personal touch. On our last day we had lunch on the terrace of Chateau des Dines Roches which has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Stephane Ogier Bistrot de SerineDomaine Georges VernayM. I know what your thinking…Finally a food post! As you can tell I enjoy making cocktails, but it was definitely time for some food! Summer is almost over, so I wanted to make something fresh and full of summer flavors. Fresh corn is in abundance which makes this a great summer recipe. Nice and light with not too much prep work. These corn cakes will be perfect for any summer party. Try with a frozen hibiscus margarita or jalapeño guava margarita.
