This recipe is nice and light making it perfect for summer. It’s super easy to make and only uses a few ingredients. A nice balance of sweet from the mango and a little heat from the jalapeño. The freshest ingredients and best crab you can find will make this dish shine. Advertisements
I’ve been on a biscuit kick lately and wanted to try a variation of the classic buttermilk biscuit. I recently purchased some black truffle butter from D’Artagnan and figured a little truffle never hurt anything! I have to admit, I am one of those people that love truffle and it will never get old to me. Try these biscuits on there own or for brunch with a mimosa.
This crostini is great for cocktail parties or a quick snack. It takes just a few minutes to put together so it’s a great option if you have a few people over and only have a little prep time. You can use any fresh herbs you like, whatever you have around will work. I used truffle honey but any honey will do. Use a good quality hand dipped ricotta for this, it will really make a difference. Serve with a nice glass of bubbly and enjoy!
I wanted to post this quick suggestion for any left over short rib chili you may have. Just load up your tater tots with chili, melted cheese, sour cream, and green onions. Trust me, it is delicious! And if you want to make it even better, make your own tater tots!
Yes, you read the title correctly. That is a hot wing cookie! My friend Melissa, owner of Cookie Confidential, whipped up these cookies with chicken marinated in hot sauce made by yours truly, blue cheese, and some other secret ingredients. The cookie takes exactly like a buffalo wing dipped in blue cheese. They won’t be around long so stop by if your in the Philadelphia area or visit her site for online ordering.
Here’s something a little healthy for the new year. Even if your new years resolution wasn’t to watch your weight, you have to try this. White bean dip is one of my favorite recipes because it’s packed with so much flavor and takes just minutes to make.
Popcorn is the perfect snack when you want something salty or even when you want something sweet. There are so many flavor combinations to satisfy any craving. Forget about microwave popcorn, there’s nothing better than freshly popped popcorn!
One of my favorite restaurants in Philly is Garces Trading Company. Not only is it a restaurant, but it also houses a small mini market with meats, cheeses, pastries, and some of chef Garces’s olive oil and spreads. The best part of Garces Trading is the wine shop connected to the restaurant. It’s everything you need in one spot! On my way home I stopped in Garces with my friend Danielle from That Might Come in Handy. I picked up a bottle of Vina los Valles Rioja made with organic grapes and a jar of roasted garlic ducle de leche.
