I know I’ve been MIA for a while, but I’m back! Unfortunately, my hard drive was wiped clean due to some computer issues and I lost a few posts and videos. I’m working on new recipes as we speak. I just returned from a cruise on the Carnival Conquest followed by a few days in Miami.
The Norwegian Getaway was my first cruise and the ship was also brand new only sailing for about two months before I sailed. The Conquest is an older ship, but still offers amenities similar to that as the NCL Getaway. However, the spa on the Getaway could not be beat. That was my favorite place on the ship with the beautiful views, therapeutic pool, and facilities.
The buffet on the Getaway was also much better. The selections were greater for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Getaway also has an enomatic wine dispenser at the buffet for easy self service. Despite the lack of buffet selections on the conquest, the food overall was better, a bit more flavorful. For quick bites, the Conquest has a Guy’s burgers, a cantina dishing out made to order tacos and burritos, and also a section with made to order pizza. These are three things I could eat everyday, so I was happy with the selection and Guy’s burgers are seriously good! So without further ado, here’s a few pics.
